Worshipful Master Peter Lambourne

Truefriendship began on St John's day 1773 in Calcutta India by NCO's of the East India Tea Company; we have met continuously since that time, even throughout two World Wars. Returning to the United Kingdom in the 1970's we believe that the ability of Truefriendship to survive where other Lodges have fallen by the wayside is the ability of the Truefriendship to change with the times, but maintaining the history and principles of our founders. It is up to us to maintain that history and pass it and our secrets to the next generation:

And what of those secrets: Benjamin Franklin once wrote:

What is the Secret of Freemasonry? The secret of Freemasonry is that there is, in fact no secret. By this paradox he may have meant that in freemasonry as in life "Seek and ye shall find", that satisfaction in the search for truth is easier that it seems, if we can but open our minds and hearts and see our fellow men as brothers to be loved, not as people to be afraid of, or enemies to be beaten
